Recipes to cook with kids
Katie Cameron, Nutritionist
Cooking together is fun family activity and allows kids to practice their fine motor skills, improve their reading skills and use math and science concepts.
Cooking together also promotes healthy eating and helps to teach your child important life skills around food preparation. Chatting over the counter creates a wonderful opportunity for casual and relaxed communication and bonding. The relationship that you develop and nurture while being in the space together, sharing food and passing on family traditions can be truly special.
If you are a parent, grandparent, or carer and if you have a little extra time this weekend or during the school holidays, give cooking together a go!
