Time saving snacks to add to the lunchbox:
-
A whole piece of fruit or veg - save time on preparation and add a whole carrot or apple to the lunchbox.
-
Some cherry tomatoes or baby cucumbers - these already come in perfect bite size portions, simply throw them straight into a container and go!
-
A slice of raisin bread - pull a slice straight from the freezer (you can even buy wholemeal varieties).
-
A tin of tuna or beans - high in protein these will keep your kids fuller for longer (remember to transfer to a container that is easy to open and add a fork).
-
Some wholegrain rice cakes - a great snack either on their own or top with ricotta cheese or avocado.
