These habits are formed in a range of settings, starting in the home and extending to places such as the classroom. As teachers, it is important to be mindful of the way the topic of food is approached in the classroom, as well as during less structured breaks such as recess and lunch. Storybooks about vegies

Picture books are a great way to expose children to new foods they may not have tried before. Reading about new foods is like free advertising and reduces the amount of encouragement needed for a child to willingly give it a go. Whilst we know storytelling helps promote vegetable consumption, to encourage adventurous eating exposure to a wide range of vegetables is required.
