Apple Pie Overnight Oats

Apple Pie Overnight Oats

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 2 tbs unsweetened apple sauce
  • 1 tbs reduced-fat plain yoghurt
  • 1/2 tsp honey
  • 1/4 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup reduced-fat milk
  • 1/2 apple, chopped

Method

Place all ingredients except the apple into a wide mouth plastic container or bowl. Place the lid on the container and shake well to combine (or stir if in a bowl and cover with plastic wrap).

Refrigerate overnight. When ready to serve or pack, stir in chopped apple. 

Variations

  • For Carrot Cake Overnight Oats, replace the apple, apple sauce and honey with ½ a grated carrot and ¼ cup of chopped dates
