Getting the message out

Once your school decides to Crunch&Sip®, you need to get the message out. Everyone in the school community (parents, staff and students) needs to be aware of the importance of healthy eating and drinking water, especially during childhood and adolescence. Make people aware of Crunch&Sip® and help to get support for the program using these activities and ideas.

Launch

How about having an official Crunch&Sip® launch in your school so that all members of the school community know it exists? This could take place on a special day, at an assembly or at a relevant meeting.

Publicity

Publicise Crunch&Sip® as widely as possible. You could:

  • Contact your local newspaper using a media release
  • Distribute the policy to staff, students and parents
  • Send a letter home to parents
  • Distribute the Crunch&Sip® brochure to parents. To order this resource in your state click here
