WA Crunch&Sip® Week 2008
‘A healthy tip is to Crunch&Sip®’
The Cancer Council WA and Diabetes WA will introduce the second Crunch&Sip® Week from Monday 31 March to Friday 4 April 2008.
The Week recognises certified Crunch&Sip® schools and encourages other schools to give Crunch&Sip® a go. As well as snacking on fruit and vegies and sipping water in the classroom during the week, children will be encouraging their parents to Crunch&Sip® at their work. Schools have the opportunity to engage their school community in the promotion of healthy eating and lifestyle activities.
See the Crunch&Sip® Week School Information Booklet to find out more.
The School Information Booklet contains information on the following:
- Suggested whole school and classroom activities.
- Classroom, whole school and school canteen competitions.
- How to access free fruit and vegetables for your school.
- How to access free resources for your school.
- Use the Crunch&Sip® Week planner to help organise your activities.
- To encourage parents to participate have the kids download a letter to Mum and Dad asking them to eat a piece of fruit at work.
- Run a fun Crunch&Sip® classroom challenge or play the Crunch&Sip® bingo.
- To reward students for their involvement in Crunch&Sip® Week 2008 use this participation certificate.
